Effective date: 14 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how H&A Living Solution Private Limited, the company that operates the Zuno platform ("Zuno", "we", "us"), collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you use the Zuno mobile and web applications and website at https://zunotutor.com and related services (the "Platform"). We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in accordance with applicable data-protection laws, including India's Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder. By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide:
- Account details — your mobile number (used for OTP sign-in) and, optionally, your name.
- Profile and location — your locality, saved addresses (label, formatted address and coordinates), and preferences.
- Professional onboarding (Professionals only) — service category, skills, experience, fee, availability, gender, and identity / qualification documents (e.g. government ID, certificates) submitted for verification.
- Bookings and reviews — booking details, mode, address for home visits, ratings and review text you submit.
Information collected automatically:
- Device and usage data — app interactions, approximate activity timestamps (presence), and diagnostic information.
- Push tokens — a Firebase Cloud Messaging token to deliver notifications.
- Location — with your permission, your device location to auto-select your nearest saved address and show nearby Professionals.
Payment information:
- Payments are processed by our payment partner (Razorpay). We receive limited transaction metadata (such as a payment or order reference and status) but do not collect or store your full card or bank details on our servers.
2. How we use your information
- To create and secure your account and authenticate you via OTP.
- To operate core features — search, bookings, scheduling, payments and escrow, notifications, and ratings.
- To verify Professionals and maintain trust and safety on the Platform.
- To show services near you using your location and saved addresses.
- To prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, and comply with legal obligations.
- To improve the Platform and communicate important service updates.
3. Legal basis and consent
We process your information based on your consent (which you may withdraw), to perform the contract between you and us, to comply with legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests in operating a safe and functional Platform. Where you withdraw consent, some features may no longer be available.
4. How we share information
- With Professionals / Customers — when you make a booking, relevant details (such as the Customer's name, contact number, slot, mode and address for home visits) are shared with the Professional so the Service can be delivered, and the Professional's public profile is shown to the Customer.
- With service providers — trusted vendors who process data on our behalf, including Razorpay (payments) and Google Firebase / Google Cloud (authentication, database, hosting, notifications) and mapping providers. They are permitted to use the data only to provide services to us.
- For legal reasons — to comply with law, legal process, or lawful government requests, and to protect the rights, safety and property of Zuno, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Verification documents
Identity and qualification documents uploaded by Professionals are used solely for verification. They are stored securely, access is restricted to authorised personnel for verification purposes, and they are never displayed publicly on the Platform.
6. Session recordings
For quality assurance, safety and training, online sessions and support calls may be monitored or recorded. Such recordings remain the property of Zuno and are used to enhance the Services, teaching quality and session experience. Access is restricted to authorised personnel, and recordings are retained and handled in line with this Policy.
7. Location data
Location access is optional and used only to auto-select your nearest saved address and to surface nearby Professionals. You can disable location permission at any time in your device settings; the app will then fall back to your saved or default address.
8. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform, comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When no longer required, information is deleted or anonymised.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure — to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights and choices
- Access and correction — you can view and update your profile information in the app.
- Deletion — you may request deletion of your account and associated personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Withdraw consent — you may withdraw consent or disable permissions (such as location or notifications) at any time.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
11. Children
The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Services intended for minors (such as tutoring) must be booked and supervised by a responsible adult.
12. Cookies and analytics
On the web, we and our providers may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for the Platform to function and to understand usage so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
13. International data transfers
Your information may be processed and stored on servers operated by our cloud providers, which may be located outside your country. We take steps to ensure such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by other reasonable means, and the "Effective date" above will be updated.
